Clear boundaries for an independent travel-planning service.
A planning aid, not permission to drive
RoadAheadNow combines selected public forecast information with route planning assumptions. It does not guarantee road access, safety, equipment compliance, journey time or a future reopening. Official road authorities, emergency orders and on-scene instructions take priority.
Limitations
Sources can be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or incorrect. Selected checkpoints leave geographic gaps. A lower weather category is not a lower quantified accident probability. No matched alert or road record is not proof that there are no hazards.
Responsible use
Do not use this site while driving. Do not use it as an emergency routing or evacuation service. Recheck official information before travelling and make decisions appropriate to the vehicle, equipment, driver and situation.
Third-party information
NOAA/NWS, Caltrans and linked authorities are independent providers and do not endorse this project. Their own terms apply. The presence of a public source does not grant rights to third-party material outside its licence.
Availability and liability
The service is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability or complete coverage. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. Questions: legal@roadaheadnow.com.
